Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Some are needed for a website to work. Others track what you do, usually for statistics or advertising.

The short version

• We only use cookies that this website needs to work and stay secure.
• We do not use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies, so you won’t see a cookie banner.
• Videos and social media posts only load if you choose to load them.
• We count visits with Jetpack Stats, which does not use cookies and does not identify you.

Cookies we use

These cookies are strictly necessary. The law allows us to use them without asking, because the website cannot work safely without them.

Videos and social media posts

Some pages include videos or posts from YouTube, Twitch, X, Instagram, TikTok and similar services. These services set their own cookies and collect information, including to show adverts on their own platforms.

So nothing from them loads until you choose it. You will see a placeholder with a Load content button. Clicking it is your choice to load that item, and the service’s own cookie and privacy policies then apply. If you would rather not, use the Open on… link to view it on their site instead. YouTube videos load in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.

The live Discord count on our homepage does not set any cookies.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, parts of the website may not work properly. The ICO’s guide to cookies explains how.

More information

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. For questions about cookies, email info@scotesports.org.

We check the cookies on this website regularly. If we ever add cookies that need your consent, we will update this policy and ask for your permission first.
