If something's not right
Every competition and event puts young people’s wellbeing ahead of results. If you’re worried about someone, here’s what to do.
Worried about someone?
Is anyone in immediate danger?
Then tell our Child Wellbeing and Protection Officer (CWPO).
If you work in a school, college or club, your institution’s policy still applies, and we work alongside it.
You don’t need proof. Deciding what happened is the CWPO’s job, working with your institution and, where needed, Police Scotland or Social Work.
For parents and carers
Talk to their school or college first, or email us at safeguarding@scotesports.org.
In the Schools & Colleges Tournaments
| What's happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| Tech problem mid-match | Technical pause, then tell an admin |
| Match dispute or appeal | Support ticket on the Tournament Platform, within the time limits in the rules |

| Discrimination | Support ticket or safeguarding@scotesports.org |
| Safeguarding | Straight to the CWPO. Never through a support ticket. |
